Well, yeah, it's collectible. But with all the damage its not gonna be worth much of anything. I would keep it though; an indian head cent is an indian head cent, even in poor condition.
Looks like a scratch to me, not a die crack. Obverse has an old X scratched through it. I'm not sure why people did that to coins back then.
I think its a scratch on both sides and it has worn off where it crosses the designs of the coin. That makes it look like the line goes under the design features. JMO.
