That is the NGC 4.0 that was around from about 1989 to 1992.
. Sorry for the duplicates. Don't know what happened. Must be the Coffee.
Why would a random link to an NCI slab be helpful for an NGC slab?
Maybe whats in the coffee lol better yet what goes so well with coffee.
And yes Sal thats the reasonable approach however collector love these old school slabs. I have a few that are on the bottom of any items that I would part with....I need to look but if my memory serves me I have 1 I purchased at a local shop. It has a sticker on it with price paid at a Baltimore Whitman show. And I know I paid more but not at it current price point.
Oh I bought the coin. I have it a long time, over 25 years ago. It’s just the slab looks old and I wasn’t sure how old but the NGC slabs don’t look anything like this today.
Or lack there of.
I’ll check it out.
graded conservatively by today's standards, it's the other way around for the PL designation. I could certainly see that my "old PL" Morgan wasn't as reflective or contrasty as his current PL (not DMPL) examples.
That said, I'd have no complaints about OP's coin!
In hand it shows. I just can’t pick it up with my cell camera.
