1885 Morgan Silver Dollar with Pictures

I have an 1885 US Silver Dollar that is in excellent condition and I would like to know an approx. value and if I should hold on to it or sell it?
    I added Picture Files.

The forum members here are pretty good at this and could better assist you if you are able to post a picture. There is no listing for excellent condition in my Redbook so I will tell you what it lists for in other conditions.
First I am assuming you are correct that it is a morgan and that there is no mintmark.
    an 1885 lists for
    VF-20 ...$16
    EF-40 ...$18
    AU-50 ...$20
    MS-60 ...$30
    MS-63 ...$45
    MS-64 ...$60
Mint mark location is on the reverse below the wreath
I would keep it until you are certain what its value is.There are also many varieties that hold substantial value over the Redbook listing I gave you.

    Welcome to the forum.
There's really only one person in the world who can answer that question - they guy you look at in the mirror when you shave. :D

My answer isn't as flippant as it might sound my friend. If fact since you have to ask the question, the answer is very probably "sell", since - sad to say - you obviously haven't caught the collecting bug.

You might want to hang around the forum for a while and dip your toe in the numismatic hobby. Could be, you'll like it and decide to stay for the long haul. :)

BTW - the prices Digger quoted are what you might expect to pay a dealer, not what the dealer would buy them for.
