Just watch this item on ebay, it ends in less than an hour. Should give you an idea of the value. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1884-CC-GSA...93?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item27c240855d
Well, if you trust your grading judgement, $325 isn't a horrible price, not the best but if it's a definite MS65, then it's definitely worth it in my opinion.
Unless you are an expert grader (and without being able to examine the coin in-hand - which would make you better than any grader I know), it seems like an unwise gamble.
I highly doubt the coin's grade will fall under the category of MS64+/65. The majority of these GSA dollars are "Unc." (MS62/63). But, then again, we'd need to see a few photos to be certain. If I were to purchase a common-dated (84-CC let's say), uncertified GSA dollar w/out a photograph, I wouldn't pay a dime over $200. -Brian
That's certainly a big plus. But previously, you wrote "I'd say about a MS65+ 64 at the least." That amounts to a significant gap in potential grades for the coin. And it sounds like a 64 would make it a bad deal.
I would say the auction finished for average price. Most 1884 GSA CC Morgans go for around that price ungraded.
No clue. I can tell you the ones answering the question have saved me a lot of money in the past. One thing I would like to mention is that your brain is designed to process 3 billion thought processes in less than one second. It is a form of energy conservation that people wrongly refer to as "irrational behavior." After some research, I say roll with your gut sir.
