Take some pictures without flash and with more natural light, sunlight preferable. You're washing out the details of the photo. Also take them directly head on.
A cheap lesson, count your blessings. In the future do not buy slabbed coins unless they are NGC or PCGS (And even then, you would be well served to ask the opinions of others before buying). At least until you become comfortable with your own grading ability.
Well said; once you feel more comfortable with your grading, and if you're dealing with someone honest, you may occasionally run across something like this where both parties can recognize that a NAC MS66 is a normal person's MS61 or something or that sort, and then just deal with it that way. The MS's and Proofs are the most difficult to master, but just looking at a lot of NGC and PCGS slabbed coins can be a pretty decent tutor.
