    First, welcome to the neighborhood!

There were Treasury Department releases of silver dollars in the 60's & 70's that were overseen by the General Services Administration (GSA).

What do you want to know? You'll have to be more specific.

We never heard of an "1884 Morgan GSA Hoard." If you expect an answer to this question, we need a little information from you. And you can start with where you heard of this.

There has been those who hoarded GSA Morgan's and then there is the government GSA hoard that was sold in the 70s. What exactly do you want to know?

That's an 1884 Morgan Dollar sold by the GSA. Duh? There's no such thing as an "1884 Morgan GSA Hoard."

Did I say there was a 1884 GSA Hoard? No!

I thought you were asking me what information I wanted to know from him. I apologize to you if I got that wrong. From the proximity of your post to mine, I thought I was getting the question. For the record, I know of the Morgan GSA Hoard. There's no such thing as an "1884 Morgan GSA Hoard." The whole thing is just a CC hoard.

No problem - my post could have been a bit clearer - I guess.

Thanks. It was just the proximity. It got my horse ears pointed up, lol.

Actually there is. The GSA hoard contained more than just CC coins, and in the years before they began slabbing them in the GSA holders the TPG's would put them in slabs that just identified the coins Such as 1884 S$1 and then on the next line they would put GSA Hoard if the coin came in the GSA holder.

But then I've been around here long enough to know only you'd know something like that...

    Anyway, thanks. :)
