I have an 1884 florin (one tenth of a pound) queen victoria coin. It is in immaculate condition. I looked online and found others that were in poorer condition than mine, but graded a VF. I have seen one listed on a website selling for over $400.00. Is this a good price range to start with, or is that a bogus number?

Foreign coins like these often have a vast bid/ask spread. Expect to sell it between one and two hundred, maybe a bit more. Spink lists it at 275 pounds in UNC. But again, big spread.

(I recall being offered 15 dollars for an aVF 1677 half crown - I wanted to smack the guy!)

If the coin is truly unc, anything over $250 is too much.
