I just acquired my very own 1884 CC Morgan (ungraded, in GSA case) and was wondering if I paid a fair price... Could you guys tell me what you think of the quality and what you would have paid for it?

i am not a grading expert ... and the photo (though large) is a bit blurry. However it appears the coin is pretty clean (I dont see too many dings or nicks). Surface looks fairly original but a bit dull (i.e. lacking in luster). So perhaps a grade somewhere between MS62 and MS64? i would guess fair value is somewhere between $200 and $280. (there isnt really too much of a price spread between those 3 grades).

but i am sure there are people on this board to provide a better more reliable estimate of value

Sorry about the out of focus picture, my scanner decided to focus on the plastic case instead of the Morgan. I would be happy with $200, I only paid $175 which I thought was a good price.

Could we see a photo of the reverse? The obverse looks like it could go MS65. Because it is a scan, I'm assuming the luster is there.
