I have had these three silver dollars from my grandmother for years and have been cleaning and decided totry and find out...Is there any real value to these coins?? Some peole say yes and some say not really. Also, she gave me several silver nickels from the 40s, dimes and quarters. Do you just save this stuff "forever" or what??? Thanks!!
Well yes. Silver probably will increase in value. Just my opinion but if it came from my grandma I would keep it maybe put the nice ones in airtite coin protectors.
Welcome to Coin Talk Liv, sounds like you have 3 nice silver dollars (Start of a collection perhaps :smile ) can you post pics? And please dont clean them, if you do they will loose value. De Orc :kewl:
Sounds like you have a good find and a start for coin collecting. There is a lot of history in all coins and I find it interesting to learn about the coins I have and the ones I wish I had. Check these out and you may find that you have a new hobby. Madspec
Most likely the value is about 10X the face value of these coins in pure monetary terms, unless you have something scarce. Is the 1921 the same design as the earlier coins, or totally different ? If it's completely different ( Peace design, with eagle sitting on a rock), then it's more like a $100 coin.
