    the red book.
    9-11 USD is the amount he could get for it. based of red book. even though i know red book is "high" retail.

    Sorry but I don't have my red book handy...what grade is that price for? Thanks for the reply btw. The coin looks F-VF or even better to me but honestly I am not experienced at grading.

    Without taking the apparent problems into consideration, the details of that coin are well above this range, CG.

    I've been asking about this just as an exercise - thanks for indulging.

    Well above F-VF? After looking again I agree.

    Obverse looked cleaned to me (are those hairlines?) too so that should knock it down a bit.

    I guess I am am now thinking the value would start at $15 for an AU (numismedia), but if cleaned that would be knocked down to maybe the low teens ($11-13) range. Must admit that I first commented because I was thinking it would value at much more than the $9-11 value coingeek gave.
