My daughters found this nickle in some change they recieved and I was wondering if it was worth anything.

The front of the coin has 13 stars around lady liberty. She is wareing a crown with Liberty on it. Along with the year 1883.

The back of the coin has United States of America & E Pluribus Unum around the edge. In the middle is a V surrounded by a horseshoe shaped wreath.

It will depend on the grade.

Does it have the word CENTS inder the wreath on the back or not?

    Hello, Mrs. Murphy.

Most circulated 1883 Liberty Head nickels sell for less than $20. The vast majority sell for less than $5. Hope this helps.

Yep--this type and year of the V Nickels were saved a lot and so it doesn't demand a large price tag...
