I went to a local flea market today, and looked over some of the coins, and I came upon a guy with an album full of pennies and nickels, and I found a V-nickel with a huge lamination peel off of the reverse. I knew what it was, but I asked the guy if he had any error coins, and he didn't seem like he knew what I was talking about. The coin was marked $7.99, but I asked if he'd take $7, and he did. So, do you think it was a good deal? The obverse seems to have some damage and some other small mint error, maybe another lamination? I couldn't take a detailed picture of the obverse, but the reverse one is the big one anyway.
I think that was a good deal! While laminations aren't that rare, or $$$, one this large would add some value to the item IMHO. Others I'm sure would disagree with me on this matter! Speedy
I would say that $50 might be alittle high...I was thinking $15. But who knows what it would go for on Ebay! Speedy
I really don't know how much the mark up would be for the lamination error but if you were to list it on ebay make sure that you mention it's the With CENTS variety. Scarcer than the No CENTS
Thanks for the replies, everyone! I would have been happy if it was worth $10. I don't want to sell it, though. I suppose that would be my first cherry pick.
