    The NO Cents V Nickel is the one that got gold plated & was tried to pass off as a $5 gold coin back in the day !

    The "No Cents" 1883 Liberty Nickel was saved in huge quantities because of the change mid-year to the "With Cents" varitey. Unless the coin is a high-grade example it is not especially valuable.
