Hi Dan, Could you post a picture? Is your dollar the same type as the one in the picture? Also, did you check for a mint mark? If the coin is the type in the picture, you can check for a mint mark below the eagle on the back. It would either be an O, S, or CC, or there may be none at all. It is hard to even guess a value without more information.
