1882 Indian Cent ?

    I need help in finding out what this is ? I scan this coin and it is much darker than this picture. From looking the two 8's, looks like there is something inside of the top loop. I am not sure if you are able to see it.

    Not sure I get your question davidh, but if look at the two 8's inside the top loop there is a thin line that is part of the repunched 8. It looks kind of like each 8 has an eyebrow inside the top loop.
