I have this 1881-S Morgan and was carefully looking over it and noticed on the reverse at the left of the Eagles' talon, what I have seen on a 1900 Morgan. Is this a double berry on the olive branch ? I need the experts on this. It seems to stand out as two berries. Is this a VAM ? I know it is on the 1900 as a VAM-16 DDR. Questions, comments should I send it to VSS ? Here are some pictures. DSC03444 (2).JPG DSC03439.JPG

If you are only asking about the olives(not a berry;)) on the olive branch, they are ALL like that up until 1900. Thats when they changed over from the c3 reverse to the c4 reverse. The latter having only one olive, the former having 2 olives.
In other words its not doubled it part of the normal design 4 the date. Hope this helps

Sidenote: the other major change in 1900 is a large U shaped void between the eagle neck and wing (right side)

    Now i have a question for you>
Why does that coin look like it took a bubble bath and forgot to rinse off? Looks like alligator skin
