Here is a raw 1881-S Morgan which is just crying outloud for your valuable input. What would you put on the flip if it was in your harem? Thanks for looking.

hmmm, that's a tough one. Can't tell whether those hairlines are from cleaning or from a buffed die. I'd say it looks MS64...may be cleaned, maybe not.

I can't say with the lighting whether it's been cleaned either, but I will say thats a very nicely struck Morgan!

Lets just get it over with quickly:
    AU -- Cleaned.

Okay now that that is done: how about MS-63.

I suspect it's been in a card game or saddle bag before, but it's sure a pretty AU.

Nice Morgan, no expert, but if there is wear, I'd say AU-58, if not, then I'd put MS-63 B on the flip if it was my coin. A nice Morgan Bone. :thumb:

I'm going to disregard the fields, as your photos have been catching EVERY nook & cranny lately.
I still think the contrast is high.

    Anywho...

Looks like the hair above the ear and the top of the cap may have been flattened a little from Bad Bart flipping it in to raise Smokey McGuilicutty in the big card game.
I'm going to assume those three love-taps on the cheek are being amplified by the camera and that hit on the nose is not very distractive in hand.

    I would say MS-62+.

You got to love coins with character.
    ;)

    BTW.....
Is that a die crack to the right of the MM ?

Something looks "wrong" to me about this coin. Could be the photo though.

That said, I'll guess AU 58 and possibly cleaned.

Does the lower right wing of the eagle look a little off to anyone else ?
