With all those scratches and deep gouges I'd have to say XF-40 or 45. That's a real shame. I can see plenty of luster remaining around the edges of the fields. It looks like somebody dropped this coin in a tool box and carried it 100 miles in the back of a wagon on a washboard road.
I would say AU50 to 55. That is just looking at the book and the pictures - I really do not know anything about gold. But it looks nice.
