got this a week ago it a 1879-S Morgan dollar in a old PCGS Rattler holder graded MS63

odd thing is the coin doesn't have that many marks on it just a spot on the back of the cap

the holder is a generation 1.2 holder used between 1986 to 1989 pretty common but getting harder to find here of late

called rattlers as the coin will rattle around in the holder

    Unfortunately, you picture didn't work.

As for the rattle holders, I hate them when they rattle. I broke a coin out of the rattle holder years ago for precisely that reason. The coin was in an MS-64 rattle holder and ended up in an NGC MS-65 holder. It was over graded then, but properly graded now with grade-flation.

Not so odd...who knows back then? Heck, who knows even nowadays...? Won't zoom for me so can't see it better as to mark(s). Sounds good for you and that's what counts. Looks decent.

Looks correctly graded from what I can see she has typical 63 bag marks

Can’t tell how accurate the grade is from the photos. Rattlers tend to grade lower than they would, in today’s submissions. Figure a rattler’s 63 would be a current generation 64.
