1879-O Morgan Silver Dollar Grade

  1. I have this beauty of a Morgan Silver Dollar here. I inherited her from my great-grandfather. I took it to a pawn shop to see what they thought, and they said it was one of the most beautiful coins they had seen of this type. I think it’s AU-55+. What are your thoughts? Thank you so much!

it's a gift from your great grandfather, that's what matters, no matter what the grade.
PS It's not AU55+ maybe 45 or 50 at most.

You might try VAMWorld.com. That site deals with nothing else but Morgan and Peace Silver Dollars. I agree, close to extra fine to AU on the grading.

Agree XF-ish/harshly cleaned in spots. As mentioned above, gift from great grand Dad? Priceless heirloom......:)
