20150718_154913.jpg 20150718_155036.jpg I am trying to attribute a few vams. I have this one that kind of fits van 6 but mine has no die cracks, well there's a small hairline at neck about 1/4 in. All the ones on banquet have large die cracks. Could this be an essential of the van 6 since the die cracks ate missing?

Die cracks are very common on Morgan dollars and do not warrant attribution in and of themselves. More often than not, they are used to determine a particular die state.....EDS, MDS, LDS.

If you want to attribute your coin, you should go to Vam World.

Wow. I had no idea there are that many VAMs.

Between Morgan and Peace dollars, there are more than 4,000. If you really want to get a headache, take a look at the "Squiggles" for the 1921 Morgan's.

The reverse looks correct for VAM 6, but there are other possibilities as well. The obverse of a VAM 6 has a small, vertical mark through the tip of Liberty's eyelid. From the pictures you post, I can't tell if it's there. I am intrigued by what could be a vertical crack to the right of the 2nd 8 in the date. This is one of the key diagnostics for the later die stage of the VAM 14.19, which is extremely rare.
