1877-S/S Seated Liberty Quarter Dollar- NGC GTG Looks PL

So this was already in a NGC slab, but I felt it was under graded.

It's in QC right now at NGC and it'll likely be at least another week before it ships with my other subs, but take a guess where this one landed.

The color really is nuclear blue/purple.

**Note- No 77-S/S show up in the pop report as a AU53 so it looks like it did upgrade... but just where to... wish I had kept the report numbers prior to my submission. I will not be surprised if this is in a MS holder now....

Beautiful coin. Strong azurite blue toning. AU-58.

 

No idea, just hard to make out the surfaces under that spectacular toning. Shot in the dark MS-63+

Got it from Chris Dempsey at the Michigan show. Hopefully it goes UNC because I paid UNC money for it lol

 

That is beautiful. I don't think it has the mirrors for a PL (from what I'm seeing in the video), but I always love how those semi-prooflike surfaces just make the colors shine like that.

It looks like clear rub on her thigh, so I'm going to go AU-55.

Maybe I'll give it a go in the new slab.

 

Nice. A 58 is probably worth more than a 62, anyway. Especially with the toning. Too bad it didn't get a PL. They are tough as hell on that designation these days.
