Here's another deplorable ebay powerseller: http://cgi.ebay.com/1877-Indian-Hea...oryZ3358QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
A lot of bidders at that auction, somebody got an $800 coin for $1350 if they're lucky and the reverse or the rim is not damaged. Oh yes, no paypal accepted on this auction because the fees would be to high, what a scammer!
I can sympathize with the seller.(joking) I'm sure he is WAY to busy to open a roll of cents with an $800 coin showing. Me ? I've never met a roll I didn't open. $1350 ? The high bidder is probably waiting for that roll and ALL of the KEY dates it contains. Chances are there will be some disappointment. John
I can't beleive somw people are so soft. I mean, honestly, WHAT THE HECK are the bidders thinking? Just blows my mind to see that.
...and return policy requires the roll be returned unopened,* so there's no way the happy winner can return the thing if the rim or reverse (or hidden part of the obverse) is damaged. [sarcasm]But isn't amazing that an 1877 IHC is RIGHT AT THE TOP of an unsearched roll ???!!!?!?!? How exciting !!! It's even facing the right way ! Heads I win, tails you lose ! I mean... what are the odds ???? There's no telling what else is in that roll ! It's charmed ! Magical, I say ! Because, after all..........it's unsearched.[/sarcasm] * a reasonable policy for a roll
Another thing is that these crooks always have private auctions to protect the identities of their bidders, what a joke. I believe they do this so honest members of ebay can't send a message to the prospective buyer to tell them that they are about to be taken by a scam artist!
