What is the exact weight? It should be 27.22g, slightly heavier than a Morgan or Peace dollar (26.73g).

The mintmark doesn't really look like an "S" to me, which means either damage, wear or fake; and I don't see anywhere near enough wear on the rest of the coin to accept that alternative. A look at the mark under 10X or better would be very helpful.

The reverse shows definite signs of cleaning - probably not recent - but there is very little indication of that on the obverse. ?????

AU at best, more likely XF, if genuine, IMHO.

It looks really dull to me.
The "cleaning" on the reverse could be manipulation to age the coin.
The outer marks on the rim of the coin make me think it to appear cast, too.

Cerebus, could you take some more pics for us ?
A close up of Liberty's head, Eagle's head, and the mint mark would help us determine authenticity and value.
    :)

That is your first problem. Why do you want to sell it AS IS? Has someone already told you that it is fake? The Trade dollars is often faked, and many many of the ones posted here by people wanting to know if they are real or fake turn out to be fake.

I would suggest taking it to a local dealer near you and selling it there. Selling fake coins is against the law, and if you sell it online and then ship it to the person you also have mail fraud.

thank you for you "speedy" for your comant.
i understand your carfolness with buying coing over the internet.
i do not have anything to do wuth fraud ot things like that.
saying "as is" is coming from people telling me that in order to sell rare coins you need to get a "certificae" which can be very expensive.
i would send any pictures of the coins to anyone asking.

    that is it.

Well it isn't that $$ to get it graded. It will cost you maybe $25.

Look at it this way---you have a coin that is highly faked, and fakes can even fool the best in the market. If the coin is real you have maybe $100-$125 in value I would say...if it is fake $10. Now if you sell it and it turns out to be fake, you have to return the money by law...even if you say AS IS. The law takes a dim view of people selling coins that turn out to be fake and then saying that they sold it AS IS. So lets save you some time and money and send it to a grading company...if $25 is too much lets send it to PCI or ANACS.....$10-$15! For that $10-$25 you spend now, you might get a nice bit extra when you sell it.
