You are going to love this one: An 1876 Seated Dollar, and the seller dosen't understand why it isn't listed in the Guide Book! http://cgi.ebay.com/1876-Liberty-Se...5QQihZ017QQcategoryZ11977QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Um, lets see, from Klongluang, Pathumthani, Thailand. Lets bid it up it must be rare, since they stopped minting them in 1873.
Definitely a dud. That Thai vendor should definitely be reported to eBay for selling forgeries. Aidan.
It's a fairly decent looking job of counterfitting except that they got the date wrong. If those guys over in China ever get their hands on a Red Book we're in trouble folks!:headbang:
crazy, I concur with that guide book thing, otherwise I'll have to have all commons slabbed just to affirm authenticity
They got the date wrong on purpose - it was not a mistake. There are plenty of people who will buy the coins because the date is wrong - they think they are getting a rarity.
