Hi, thanks to all of you who replied on my dime. I have a gold dollar that has doubling on both sides. The coin is already small so the pictures with my crappy cammera isn't all that good. On the back around the wreath the bottom looks like they set the wreath on the coin and then put another one on top but slightly moved. On the front some of the letters are the same, looks like the set two letters on top of eachother. Here is a pic I'll keep playing with my cammera to see if I can get clearer pics. What do you think? Is it anything?
    Thanks
    Wade

Looks like strike or mechanical/machine type doubling.

The secondary images look flat and shelve like as if the devices have been scooted, pushed or pulled - that's what happens when dies work loose and there is a flopping together during strike - not a doubled die.

    Popularly called Longacre doubling.

Common on many of the designs that were created by Longacre.

    Like Indian Head cents.

    No added value.
