The S is just below the bow.
It may be AU but it looks to have rim damage shown on the reverse image.

    Leadfoot there is no spoon

Looks like an AU details coin to me, and I'm thinking the weak strike on the reverse may have you confused.

That said, I wouldn't spend $85 on that coin (and I see no S), but that's just me...Mike

There is an "S" there - definitely. It is weakly struck just like the "HA;F DIME". There also is more than one rim nick on the reverse.

Looks like AU details weakly struck damage on the rims of the reverse odd color I'd net it as an XF-40 at best. Definitely wouldn't want to pay AU money for it. Can't tell if it is a V-1 or a V-2. The mintmark on the reverse bothers me a bit, I don't recall it being that high or so far left on the 73-S. I could be mistaken though.

I have found three 1873-s half dimes and the reverse is weak on every one of them. The "s" is easier seen on one of them. I think I'm going to hold out for a better example. Is a weakly struck reverse common for these coins minted in SF. Oddly, the New Orleans Seated Liberty Half Dimes are struck very nicely, going by the ones I have so far. Usually New Orleans coins well known for weak strikes.
