    Hello everyone,
I need some help and i was hoping that somone out there can help out. I found a 1871 gold coin and on one side it says British columbia and it has an picture on it with a ram and a moose on either side of what appears to me to be a coat of arms, and it dates 1871 and on the other side there is a picture of flowers and it says Pacific Dogwood. There is no other discriptive feature on either side of the coin to determine what it was worth if it was worth anything or any other discriptive writing to tell me what the purpose of the coin would be. Could some please help me to determine what kind of a coin it is

    Thank you for your time

Trina, this is actually a brass medal which is commemorating the unification of British Columbia into Canada.

I have recently found a medallion that is the same description as the one above and would also like to know if anyone has a price value on it. Thanks.
