1870 Three Cent

Please let you know what you think about this coin. It is my first purchase that wasn't a modern proof set or comm. It was advertised as damaged so I got a good deal on it. The picture on e-bay was blurry so I was pleasently surprised when I got the coin.

I think it is a very nice coin, even with the drill? mark it has overall good color and appeal with moderate wear. Is that corrosion on the back or just discoloration?

 

It's just dirt I think. Full liberty and full bands on the III on the back. I really wish that big ding wasn't on it because it dosen't have any other scratches. No noticable rim dings either. The denticles aren't messed up either.

I read of a guy that buys most of his coins with holes ,otherways he said he would never be able to afford all his coins .
