    No, I think that's a die crack. Cracks and clashes are quite common on nickel three-cent (III) pieces.

    Nickel three-cent pieces are NOT common in cent rolls. Nice find!

    I assume you are referring to the doubling around the A? It looks to either be machine doubling or Longacre doubling (although that is usually more widespread), not true hub doubling.
