hey, we've just recently gotten a coin collection and while looking through it found this coin...it has to queens head, on one side it has a coat of arms and on the other sides theres 3 maple leaves and the diameter of the coin is 3 cm. on the arms side it reads Canada on top and bottom and 1867 is split on both sides. on the leaf side it reads "the maple leaf" on top and "la feuille d'erable" on the bottom. any ideas on what it is and what its worth? there was a guy that had the same coin on here but he didnt have any pic so hopefully ill get a better answer lol
I found a website that indicates it was part of a Shell gas giveaway in the 60's for the 100th anniversary of confederation. Here's a link to the babelfish translation, give it a few seconds as it dynamically translates each time you hit the link: http://babelfish.yahoo.com/translate_url?doit=done&tt=url&intl=1&fr=bf-home&trurl=http%3A%2F%2Fnumicanada.com%2Fforum%2Fviewtopic.php%3Ff%3D13%26t%3D7070%26view%3Dnext&lp=fr_en&btnTrUrl=Translate
