    Sweet pickup! I'm at AU55.

Edit - Did you cherry pick that? That's a nice variety.

Not a cherry-pick. Other people noticed it too, but I think I did not pay too much.

Nice coin. Not sure from the color and pics if it hasn’t had an old cleaning tho

I need to take better pictures to appreciate what this coin really looks like. These are the sellers.

You guys are good. Certainly fooled me... if you saturate the color a bit the coin looks bright orange.

The 1867/7 arrived today. This is what it really looks like. Quite unlike the sellers photos, I think. I like what I am seeing - a nicely toned brown cent.

Let us see what you all think!

Appears retoned after old cleaning. You can see areas that didn't clean inside the date. Likewise inside the letters of ONE CENT.
Verdigris on reverse at 4, 6 and 7 o'clock in the wreath.
That being said, the obverse still looks very good. Not MS as there is wear on the rim from 2-3 o'clock on the obv and a big chunk missing from the rim at 8 o'clock. AU-details.

To Eduard and his Indian Head Cent. Don't you mean American Indian or Native American ? At first I thought you meant India in the East.

NO Bert, the coin is called an Indian Head Cent IHC.

Obviously, the U.S. penny called Indian Head Cent wasn't named by Pickin and Grinin. It was minted in the years 1859 - 1909, so the name would not be a modern one, and names do stick. It was probably called the same during the American Civil War, not exactly yesterday. I would suggest that the name may now be past it's sell-by-date. By "Indians" today, you may mean Indigenous Native Americans. And if you ask several Native Americans, they are unlikely to say they prefer to be called Indians. Just as black people today usually prefer not to be called negroes or even Jim Crow.

There is no AU 60. AU goes from 50-59 but generally only 50,53,55 and 58 are used. MS goes from 60-70. I don't believe this is an MS coin.

I think it’s a nice coin which only has some minor issues (rim nick, verdigris, light cleaning?). But more importantly it’s finally an RPD variety which you can see without a loupe.

After looking at your pics, I believe it would receive a straight grade, probably somewhere in the low AU range. And yes, agreed, the surfaces look much more original on your pics. It appears the seller’s pics are slightly juiced...

You’re referring to a slider, right? I don’t think it could make MS though, as there’s obvious wear on both sides.
