1866 Indian Head error?

    Can't really tell from that image. It is recessed?
    I'm almost entirely sure it is just damaged. Not worth it to speculate exactly how said damage occurred.

    I agree. Need better Pics and no telling what happened in the 155 years of possible circulation. :p

    From what I can tell from blowing up your photo it appears to be post mint damage. Like the others have said....a better photo would be beneficial

    Some of my Indian Heads are better than others but was wondering about this one.
