Based on the first set of pictures I was going to say VG, but the amount of "LIBERTY" showing in the headband of the angled photo changed my mind to at least F. :thumb:
BTW - Roy you are pretty close to the grade the guy that sold them gave it. It is also interesting to see the detail (or lack of - due to wear) when the coin is zoomed-in on.
Thanks for the grade guys, I think you are spot on. What makes me feel a little better is the coin in real size looks sweet. You really do not see all of the cleaning issues that you see with the blown up pictures. You can tell it has been cleaned but not the level of details. Best Regards Darryl
Pictures can often make coins look much worse then they do in hand, in my opinion at least. Unfortunately, the opposite is true as well.
Thanks Zane, I agree a poor quality picture can hide some of the defects. I just recently almost bought a piece of art on ebay. The pictures were poor so I questioned the seller about a specific area. In the end there was damage that was very hard to make out in the picture. With a good resolution camera I think you can see much more detail than the eye would take-in unaided. As I am into photography a little more than the average person, it probably works against me here.
