Help me put a value on this. I never felt it would straight grade. That was 20 years ago and I imaged it about 10 years ago. I think that was the last time I looked at the coin.
Should I just go ahead and send it in before trying to sell it?

    F-102a, strong vf, to xf

I'm not seeing anything from keeping it from straight grading

I'd grade it first. Looks good except for a few minor dings. Key date.

I don't see how any one could grade this coin below XF40-45, despite the minor nicks.

I'd send it in. The only thing giving me pause on it straight grading would be the small pit to the NE the "N" on the reverse. Other than that, I'd say it was XF-45.

Nice coin Larry I think it would grade ,yes Xf but maybe a high Vf due to lack luster. I like it.

Not many of the Seated Dime key dates in this grade range go up for auction. It's tough to figure a value. The digs on the reverse make me think it won't grade. I'm sure someone cleaned it at some point but feel that would get a pass from PCGS but maybe not from NGC.

It's been cleaned, but even if it Genuined, it would be worth getting graded just for the authentication.

physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

It has absolutely been dipped, and has begun to retone. I think it is market acceptable (at either service). It will *not* get a CAC. The profuse marks appear commensurate with circulation, and the wear indicates a mid-VF grade.

At that rarity, I think it is worth slabbing for the authentication guarantee. It doesn't really matter what grade it gets, but you will earn far more with it in plastic than out.
