This is my newest IHC. I've been waiting for a decent "L" variety that I could add to my collection. For a while I didn't realize that all the 1864 Bronze, Pointed Bust coins have (or had) an "L". The 1864 "No L" coins, only have the rounded bust. The copper/nickle variety have a rounded bust. My other 1864 Bronze coin must be an "L" variety because it has the pointed bust design.
Whew, I thought I'd never get this straight.

Nice looking coin in that hard to find collectible grade. These types of midgrade coins are always tough to locate.

Nice looking coin, with a clear L.
And yes, all pointed busts are the with L type.
    Nice addition.

very nice, and yes all pointed busts are an L type, but most say they don't count unless you can see the L

The L is on the ribbon on the Indian's neck.
Check your Guide Book, they have a nice picture of the L and its location.
