I found this Indian head today while metal detecting. I noticed when I flipped the coin over that the reverse was at an angle and almost upside down. Whenever I flip the Indian heads that I have found from the date side directly over to the reverse the "one cent" is readable and straight across. NOT on this one. As shown in the photo is the reverse as it looks when flipped directly over by grabbing the coin at the date and flipping it. Is this an error? Thanks, Jim
Wow, that might have BU details if not for the corrosion all over it. Nice find. And the rotated reverses were very common on early Indian cents.
