Howdy coldreach - Welcome to the Forum !! Sounds like you have a Civil War token. I think if you look closely it says "Broas Pie Baker" - not Boars. You can find one that was sold last year by - Clicking Here. But it was sold as part of a lot and you have to register to find out for how much. But even, since it was part of the lot you won't know what the individual token was worth. We do have a member here that might know, but he doesn't stop by very often. If he sees this, maybe he can help.
Hello coldreach, and welcome. GDJMSP is correct with the info provided, but this was a rather prolific token issuer, so more input is needed from you. The Broas Bros. issued a total of 76 varieties of Civil War tokens. The 131 41st St. info narrows the possibilities down to 43, and coupled with one of the Indian Head dies narrows it down to 32. Some of these are quite common with 2000 to 5000 known, while 3 of the varieties are listed as unique. The possible metals used are copper, brass, copper-nickel, white metal, lead, nickel, zinc, and silver. If you need assistance in determining the metal used to make your token, let me know what you think it may be and I will provide methods for you to make a determination. There were 8 different Indian Head dies used with these 32 possibilities, all were 1863, and all had "UNITED WE STAND" around the Indian's head. It could be one of 4 different Broas dies, not counting the overstruck varieties. Large, clear pictures would be most helpful, but if you can not post pics, look for and describe these features: Is it a very obvious overstrike? If it is, you will definitely see it and not have to ask what that means, trust me. Is there an "H" below the star or not? If there is an "H", is the "T" of 41st directly under the "H", or slightly to the left? Measure how far the first "1" of 131 is from the "C" of COUNTRY (a caliper reading in thousandths would be great, but be very careful not to scratch the token). Describe where the "D" of UNITED and the "W" of WE are in relation to the headress feathers, headband, or some other feature. Values can range from about $12 for a common variety in Fine condition to about $600 for a tougher uncirculated variety. Values are not given for the unique varieties. I have not been around here much due to my working way too much, but I will try to check back in a couple days to see if there is any more info to go on.
