This one just came in. I see some verdigris spots, but I think that a bit of distilled water, acetone, and xylene might help it; otherwise, it may be a good candidate for Verdi-Care. Anyway, I see some sort of doubling on the reverse, to the right on one of the leaves. It doesn't look like the DDR FS-801; but rather the leaf that's 45 degrees to the up and right of the letter "E" looks to have some sort of doubling. Is this typical of this year or is it some sort sort of doubling? And, what would you grade it as after the verdigris is removed properly? Thanks in advance!
I think I kinda-sorta see what you're seeing. Read up on Longacre Doubling and make sure it isn't that.
Yeah, it's pretty difficult to tell from my pics, so here's a zoomed in portion of what I'm referring to. I'll have to look up the 1863 Longacre Doubling - I didn't see one on the main NGC page for the coin but there must be many dies with that doubling.
