Hello All,:hail: Got this 1862 Half dime cause I saw a possible clashed die. If you take a look in the fields to the right and left of Libertys head you can see the lines of what I think to be another half libertys ground line (at the bottom of Obverse design. Then theirs the shield like extention off the right knee with a line going up that leaves me to the arm. On the reverse you can see between the H A a shield and to the right of that part of libertys dress. Then under the wreath you can see libertys head, just to the right of that her cap. I used photo shop to layer one over the other for the reverse and obverse still have to do it for Obverse Obverse. Any ideas if this is correct, if so is their a listing for it. And what it might go for. The first pic is Obverse, Second is edited one I did laying one over the other. The third is the normal reverse no editiing. Thanks for taking a look. I tried finding some others like it quick search and cherry pickers guide. Couldnt find anything. Thanks Again Anthony
Nice clashes. This may be a bit off topic but that eBay seller is notorious for using photos that make his coins appear MUCH better than they are.
I doubt you will find much on die clash damage as reference. Clashes in this time period around the civil war were very common and often detract from the value rather than add to it. These and similar 1865 and later 3 cent nickle coins were so common , it is hard to find collections that don't have a couple. But very nice clash example and photographs, and Welcome to the forum! Jim
I've had pretty good luck with Great Southern Coins Granted Everything I've bought so far has been under $100, I haven't received any cleaned coins yet, I hope you didnt give me the ugga booga. I'll take some pics of this one and post. No editing. Anyone know what this coin might go for.

Ever anything I can do for you please let me know. And as for you DesertGem, Thanks for taking the wind out of my sails. LOL I know honesty is best medicne for foolish heart. I usally never bid on anything I haven't researched. But this coin just kept calling to me, "Come on you can do it, Its just a click of the mouse." Then it started cursing at me, So Id figure I'd show it whos boss and lock its little but up in an airtight holder for a while. Yea I said it  Sorry I get kinda carried away with these things. LOL But thank you all for your posts. New to the forum happy to see the amount of feedback.
