1862 Confederate half dol.

    I am not coin collecting friendly, but I have a question, abpout a 1862 Confederate half dollar, that has the CSA sheild and on both sides. In fact both sides are identical, except that 1 sode has the date, and the other has "half dol". Can any 1 tell me what I have.

    You don't have to post every 5 minutes, it may take a little while for someone to come online who can answer your question, this is like a sticky pad that is online, someone writes somethin down, when the next guy comes along, he writes somethin down, I would help you out, but, I have no idea towards commemoratives....

    Didn't Scott also file off the reverse of some genunine US halfs of the proper date and stamp the Confedreta reverse on them?
