I am not coin collecting friendly, but I have a question, abpout a 1862 Confederate half dollar, that has the CSA sheild and on both sides. In fact both sides are identical, except that 1 sode has the date, and the other has "half dol". Can any 1 tell me what I have.
Well if anybody reads this and can help me out, please e-mail me at robertskk@charter.net Thank you very much, Ken
You don't have to post every 5 minutes, it may take a little while for someone to come online who can answer your question, this is like a sticky pad that is online, someone writes somethin down, when the next guy comes along, he writes somethin down, I would help you out, but, I have no idea towards commemoratives....
Hello, You have a souvenir novelty coin. Genuine Confederate Government issued halves look like this... 1861-O and this... C.S.A. Half Contemporary restrikes, using original dies, look like this... Scott Restrike Here's some more info on the Confederate half... History Link and... CSA Coin
Didn't Scott also file off the reverse of some genunine US halfs of the proper date and stamp the Confedreta reverse on them?
