My scanner doesn't seem to like this coin, so I'll try to describe it -
dated 1861, with a seated, robed (?) woman with a shield at her feet with the word "Liberty" inscribed. Woman is holding a staff of some sort.
The date 1861 is raised but the small "T" next to it seems to be engraved. There are 13 stars - circling about 2/3 of the coin. On the back there is centered a shield with (looks sort of like the Texaco shield) with 7 stars in 2 rows across the top and 7 vertical stripes across the bottom. There appears to be a tree on top of the shield and on either side, coming of from the bottom of the shield are plants/leaves/stalks - I don't know what to call them, but different on either side. Below this "Half Dol." in raised letters and around the other 2/3 of the coin reads "Confederate States of America" - also raised letters. What can you tell me about this coin? Is it a real coin? If so, what is it worth?

This is a copy of the Confederate States of America 50 cent piece. They sell for a couple of dollars.
