i recently found that i have a 1861 confederate 1 cent piece. i can't find much information about it online. i have seen that some of them say 'copy' and are essentially worthless. mine does not say copy anywhere and it is in very good shape. it has a bronze/copper color. i don't know anything about coins and was wondering if someone could give me some information on these types of coins. i would provide a pic but i'm going to be out of town for a little while.
Confederate coins have been heavily imitated through the years so the odds of finding an original are less than 1 in a thousand. But there's always that 1.
