Hi everyone, been picking up a few Seated Liberty coins lately. I really like the darker toned coins as they appear to have original skin. Seems so many are cleaned or dipped. It's a real shame if you as me. This one looks AU to me under all that toning. US 1858 seated liberty quarter dollar.jpg

It could AU, but I see no luster.
As an old fashioned collector, I have to see original luster to call anything AU or Unc

I am also a fan of dark skin coins. I would of been all over this specimen had I seen her for sure....now what is that in the denticles between the 58? This series is famous for MPD's in the denticles as well in liberty gown.
    Two thumb s up !
