1854 Half Cent Mint Error

    My father had purchased this during the 70's from a dealer for $4.00

    Probably in the neighborhood of $15 or so. It's got some nasty verdigris on there though.

    Ah, I see the error. It's the famous upright 1 & 8, slanted 5, and crosslet 4 variety you don't see too often. And to think I almost missed it...
