1854 Canada Half Penny Repunched Date??

    Hello,
    I am not real familiar with these older Canada tokens. I was looking at a few getting them ready to list when I noticed the date on this 1854 Half Penny and a few of the letters and was just wondering what everyone thought.

    It looks just like machine doubling or deteriorated dies.
