1853 Seated 50c. value in lower F grade

    At what point would this be a good buy? Close to $75? Or closer to $50? Not talking about catalogs value, but realistic price for todays market.

    A F12 in my opinion, considering the "LIBERTY" and wings wear.

    Ebay sold item search is your friend. They have been selling much lower. Good luck.

    This is exactly the reason why I`m asking it in here. Sold auctions are showing some bad shape damaged G/VG coins for $40, and there are VF coins in $100 and higher prices. Trying to figure out how should look a 1853 half that is worth $70.

    So there are no actual price suggestions because it is not worth buying in this grade? Or nobody knows because these are not being collected by CT members?

    It would bring $70 one day and $50 the next.
