1853 Large Cent - Opinions Needed

I’m WAY out of my comfort zone, but I decided I’d like to put a type set together.

I’d appreciate any and all opinions about the 2 coins shown below:
1. Which coin has better eye appeal (I know, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder)?
2. How would you grade each coin?
3. What is your opinion of value?

There's a huge difference in color. Are these your pics and is the color accurate? If so, I'd be very suspicious of the first coin.

 

These are not my pictures. Both coins are for sale on EBay. On the first coin, are you questioning the color, the coin or both?

 

The first coin looks cleaned and possibly polished.

 

Don’t like the color on the first. I wouldn’t buy it not in a holder

The color. If it's accurate, I'd stay away from that one. The second coin would be a nice addition to your type set.

 

I'd say both coins of been cleaned, the first one is still horribly unattractive, I think the second has been recolored it still is off but better than the first coin.

 

I’d pass on both
