Hey, I am trying to get some information about a 1853 large cent i picked up that has a counterstamp on both sides that says "Great Western Railway Canada." I have looked in my token book from Russ Rulau, but can not find it. Otherwise if i don't i will email him. I will try and get pictures up asap once i figure out my new dig. camera. Thanks
You might try looking in the yet-to-be-released book Merchant and Privately Countermarked Coins by Gregory G. Brunk. "Great Western Railway Canada" is listed among the counterstamps in his Part 2.
