    Hello everyone. Next up is a
    1851 Braided Hair Liberty Head Large Cents : 51 Over 81 ?

    Need clarification on the date the 5 seems a bit wonky. What do you all think? As always thank you in advance.

    I don't see anything that indicates it being a 51/81. Just looks like a nice problem free large cent to me.

    What condition/grade would you say it's in approximately?

    IMO, obverse, VF35, reverse, VF30. I'll say VF30.

    I think a generous grader would give it a VF 35

    hehe I looked at and copied that exact image and was going to post it tom.. but I agree from the pics it does not appear to be... in hand under a loop i might think different :D Very nice 51 though...
